MONTELIMAR, Nicaragua, October 31, 2009 – Three
teams have secured berths in the semi final
stage of the Nicaragua Tournament the last stop
of the 2009 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit.
The fourth competitor will be decided in
Sunday’s morning.
México (MIramontes-Virgen) was the first pair to
advance by defeating Jamaica (Lewis-Wilson) by
score of 21-15, 21-13. Later on, the Jamaicans
made their move to the final four by defeating
Guatemala (Bolaños-Garrido) 21-17, 21-14.
The duo of Dominican Republic (Pérez-Recio) also
took a spot in the semi finals by recording a
21-19, 21-10 victory over Costa Rica 2
(Araya-Guevara).
The fourth semi finalist will be decided from
the all-Costa Rica match between the Villegas
brothers which form Costa Rica 1 and Costa Rica
2 of Araya and Guevara.
